Who is Kevin Boyle Jr.?
Coach Kevin Boyle Jr. has spent the last decade assisting in building MONTVERDE ACADEMY (FL) into the premier basketball development system for future NBA and NCAA stars including COOPER FLAGG, CADE CUNNINGHAM, RJ BARRETT, ANDREW NEMBHARD, LIAM McNEELEY, DERIK QUEEN, ASA NEWELL and more.
Coach KBJ has been working camps and teaching basketball for two decades. His coaching style includes a strong emphasis on fundamental skill development, conditioning, and learning through situational drills and games.
Coach Kevin Boyle Jr. is now at SPIRE ACADEMY in Geneva, Ohio serving as Associate Head Coach as the staff seek to build SPIRE into a national powerhouse.
In four seasons as Montverde Academy Associate Head Coach:
• Helped lead the team to 104-7 record, including 3 Chipotle/Geico National
Championships and 3 Nike EYBL Scholastic/NIBC league titles.
• Served as Head Coach in pre-season games, holding a 26-0 record including
back-to-back Geico Top Flight Invitational tournament championships in 2022 and 2023.
• Named to Silver Waves Media “80 Next Up” list in 2022 and 2023. The list represents “the most talented grassroots, high school, and prep coaches in
the country. Those listed are Next Up to accept college or NBA jobs. These coaches have proven themselves as great candidates for the next level.”
Kevin also served as Head Coach of the Montverde Post Grad program from 2015 - 2019. In four seasons as Head Coach:
• Served as Head Coach to 5 players that have appeared on NBA rosters.
• Top-10 nationally ranked each season with wins over nationally #1 ranked team in three out of four seasons.
• Named “Next Up Recruits” Southeast Region National Coach of the Year in 2017.
• Recruited and developed 28 Division 1 scholarship players in four seasons.
